How we count
- One hand per account, per app. If you comment more than once, your latest keyword comment is the one that counts.
- A comment has to name exactly one keyword (FIX or PAY). Comments naming both, or neither, are ignored. Replies are ignored.
- Each app is counted on its own, then the four are added together.
- We can't tell if the same person votes on two different apps, so each app's account counts once there.
BACK STORY
How we got here
You inherited Ray's Diner. Ray is gone. What he left you: the keys, $3,214 in the till, and $212,437 of debt.
The bank's letter has one number that matters. Not the whole debt. A Notice of Default: $28,114, past due. You have 90 days.
Day one. The freezer is failing, and everything inside is warming up. Once cold food climbs past 41°F, it has about four hours. After that, it's trash. There's about $4,000 of food in there. The repair is $2,400.
Then Marisol, the diner's longtime cook, tells you the other thing. She needs $2 an hour more, about $350 a month, or she may have to walk. She doesn't want to go.
You can't do both. Fix the freezer and cash drops to $814, against a $1,900 payroll on Friday. Keep Marisol and the food is lost.

The four-hour clock
Food that has to stay cold is supposed to be held at 41°F or below. When a freezer fails and the food warms past 41°F, a kitchen has up to about 4 hours to use it. After that, it has to be thrown out.
