House rules for counting
- Only comments on the official @MajorityRunsIt posts are counted.
- A comment counts when it has exactly one keyword. Both keywords, or neither, and it's skipped.
- One hand per account on each app. Comment again and your newest keyword comment replaces the old one.
- Replies to other comments aren't counted. Only top-level comments.
- Each app is counted on its own and the four are added together. We can't tell when one person votes on two different apps, so each app's account counts once there.
- The Ballot shows each app's count, when it was last counted, and the combined total. When a ballot closes, its numbers go on The Tab for good.
Questions from the counter
Q1Is Ray’s Diner a real place?
No. The diner, Ray and Marisol are made up. The money is worked out so it adds up, and when a real-world rule matters (like how long cold food can sit out), the episode page shows it in The Fine Print, with a link to where it comes from.
Q2Where do I put my hand up?
In the comments of the episode, on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube. Type the keyword for your choice. For Day 1 that’s FIX or PAY. Change your mind and comment again: the newest one is the one we count.
Q3Do all four apps count?
Every one. The Ballot adds them together and shows how each app is leaning, side by side.
Q4What decides the story?
Whichever choice has the most hands across all four apps combined. That choice is what happens in the next episode.
